Ensuring Participant Identity Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We understand that some individuals may feel more comfortable securing their identity when participating in our project. Our goal is to ensure that every participant feels safe and remains in complete control of how their identity is protected. We take multiple measures to safeguard their privacy, allowing them to decide how their identity is represented in any publicly available material.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Options <\/mark>for Identity Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For any content made publicly available\u2014whether in the book, film, or online material\u2014participants have the following options to secure their identity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Name:<\/strong> They may choose to use an alias or an assumed name instead of their real name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Location:<\/strong> They can either have their city listed or use a more general reference, such as “a city in Norway.”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Visual Representation:<\/strong> If their image is included, they may opt for their face to be obscured using:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    • Shadowing<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Blurring<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Rotoscope animation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Oral History <\/mark>Collection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The oral history component of the project is not intended for public release. It is strictly for academic use and will only be accessible under the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Individuals requesting access must have valid academic credentials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Access is granted only if they present a legitimate academic reason for viewing the material.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
